One of the most emotional moments on Heiko Laux´s recently
released album is without a doubt the titel track “Ornaments”.
The saxophone intro followed by an intense housy beat makes the song something very special. It´s the perfect example for Heiko´s understanding of songmode techno as an alternative
to the most simplified loop or minimal-techno-tools these days.
On “Ornaments (Re-Inhaled)” you´ll find 2 reworks of this track
done by Heiko Laux himself shortly after he finished the album.
The a-side version (Synthesized) comes up with a bit more techno flavour and seems like the dj-friendly version.
The b-side version (Re-Inhaled) features an additional bass player and sounds like an acoustic version of the track.
As a bonus on this 12inch you´ll find a funky DJ Tool called
“Granulate One” featuring bits and pieces of album elements.
