Johannes Heil – the german techno chameleon – is back with his 4th full-length kanzleramt cd album. “Reality to midi”, Johannes´s first mega-selling techno album with more than 17.000 sold copies worldwide, marked day one in a very successful career of bad
nauheim´s new techno-star.
The second and not less successful “Illuminate the Planet” album meant a change in
aspects of more detailed productions and a huge variety of styles. At least after that
Johannes Heil gained a profile as one of the worlds best techno producers.
Sven Väth asked him for the production of his “Contact” album and Johannes delivered
the hit-single “Dein Schweiß” , released as the first single out of the album.
Infected by Sven Väth´s 80´s influence Johannes Heil produced his 3rd album
“Future Primitive”, which got released as well on Johannes´s long time
homebase kanzleramt and sounded again way different then the previous albums.
With his 4th and now to be released cd only album “Feiern” (the german word for having a party) Johannes wanted to document his evolution from a teenage-techno-producer, having his first 12inch released on kanzleramt (ka15 – Feiern), to his high profile up to date.
“Feiern” is Johannes´s tribute and personal retrospective containing all his previous 12inch only releases on kanzleramt as well as the unreleased track “kung fu” (originally
meant to be on ka27 “Calling”) and the unreleased long version of his “Golden Dawn”.
The cover design shows a grinning insight of weekends techno dancers wherever
on this planet. The party is the ritual, music is the messiah !
“Feiern” contains 13 best-of techno tracks, individualy known as club-hits by all serious
techno people who have been buying records or went to clubs in the last 5 years.
A must have for all Johannes Heil fans and techno lovers in general !
