Heiko Laux presents his fifth solo-album “Waves”!
His debut album “Liquidsm”, the lp´s “The Oldschool Street”, “Sensefiction”, “Ornaments” and many 12inch-releases on his own label Kanzleramt as well as productions for labels like Hardhouse, Tresor, Synewave or Kurbel have allowed Heiko to become an integral part of the electronic music scene as producer and dj. He has produced with many artists such as Anthony Rother, Johannes Heil, Ellen Allien and he has also been remixed by artists like Alter Ego, Surgeon or Ricardo Villalobos.
In 2003, Heiko started “Offshore Funk” and focussed his work from then on on this project but now time has come for the fifth Heiko Laux solo-album “Waves”! Influenced by his previous releases and the sophisticated production skills, the sound on “Waves” reflects a mixture of spherical moments, elektrobeats and Heiko´s affinity for Detroit-Techno. Heiko himself describes the style on “Waves” as Modern Detroit. He has carried on with the typical detroit harmonics, the cord memory funktion but also interweaved handmade cords into the tracks. The “Shared Wave (Album Mix)” is the only teamproduction on “Waves” together with Steve Rachmad. Both hang out at Heiko´s studio when Steve stayed over at the Kanzleramt homebase.
Mr. Rachmad contributed also a really funky remix of “Shared Wave” which will be released inclusive two other “Waves-tracks” on a exclusive special 12inch with the first 1000 vinyl-copies! So be quick to get one of this limited clear vinyl in triplicate!
